Pilot Program
Prove it on one room. Keep the data either way.
Every IHTC deployment starts the same way: a bounded, fixed-fee pilot on a single protected area, run under a standard agreement with no surprises.
The Evaluation Kit
Our recommended starting point: one battery, charging, or storage room — including an EV-charging zone in a garage. We scope it to your room, whatever its size; the fee is fixed once scoped, and quoted in your scoping call.
Every pilot includes:
- Hardware — control unit, sensing cable, termination, mounting kit
- On-site commissioning and alert thresholds configured with your team
- A one-week tuning period before live alerting begins
- Temporary monitoring for the pilot duration — LinearDetek operates the data collection and alerting, and your team receives the alerts
- An end-of-pilot thermal report — trends, events, and a hot-spot map, formatted for insurance and loss-prevention use, generated from the pilot’s monitoring data
- Optional add-on: an IHTC Monitor license for live access on your own workstation, during the pilot and after it
Larger scopes
Standard pilot packages cover bigger first bites — larger battery or charging areas, electrical rooms, tray or busway runs, and full conveyor lines. Every pilot is scoped to your site and quoted as a single fixed fee.

Straight answers
Is IHTC UL listed?
For supplemental monitoring, no listing is required — this layer sits alongside your code-required systems, not in place of them. The fire-signaling version of this technology is under evaluation to ANSI/UL 521 / CAN/ULC 530 (8th Edition) now, and pilot customers are first in line when it lists.
Will this lower my insurance premium?
That’s your underwriter’s call, and we don’t promise premium changes. What we provide is the documentation that supports the conversation: continuous monitoring records, alert logs, and a thermal report formatted for underwriting submissions.
Who owns the data?
You do. All of it, regardless of what you decide after the pilot.
We already have fire detection.
Keep it — IHTC does a different job. Your detection answers "is there a fire?" IHTC answers "where is heat building, and how fast?" — continuously, with location, for maintenance and early response.
Talk it through first.
Fifteen minutes with the engineer who designed the system — walk your layout, get a straight read on fit, and leave with a fixed quote for one room.
